anxiety

There is nothing as terrible as anxiety, it gives you discomfort, squashes you, pokes you, makes you nervous, irritates you and yet most times when it comes, its inevitable. Here i am waiting for the results of a scholarship interview. I have done everything to keep my mind off the idea but it still pokes me because i still live in the unknown. I know that all the people there at the interview had potential so i guess that is what makes me so nervous. There was the confident guy, the loud chic, the chic who panicked the most, the quiet guy, the talkative chic, the hopeful one, the guy who had been through it before and then me. In all this i remember what one guy said," its not the end of the world and whatever the results are, its okay and one doesn't have to get stressed about all this." I was encouraged! But then again, here i am, nervous like never before. Anxious like never before but hopeful and sure that God is definitely faithful to see me through this moment. He has done before and so why not now and today when it all seems so tight. I will keep hopeful because this is the only way i can beat this anxiety.

the babies

yesterday was one hell of a night when G got the babies to the farm. It was like this huge thing we had waited for this whole time. It was like finally we were starting something we knew nothing about, kind of like marriage, first day of school, you could think of a couple of things that you would try out as a first time.

6.30pm, the radiator gets a problem, we stop at a petrol station to see that we get it fixed. It gets better for a while but the babies are still waiting at the shop. The owner of the shop says he has to leave at 7pm. We start panicking a bit but not quite because we know its just a distance away. When we got to the round about, we realised we dint know where the shop was and started asking but luckily with all the uncertainty, we got there.

They were yellow, cute, precious and so sweet but 7 of them couldn't make it because they were tired of waiting. So we took our 293 yellow feathery babies away. I had to drop off for further duties but G had to go through the annoying traffic jam, deal with the annoying radiator and drive to a far place that would be the new home of the babies.

Through all the hustle, 290 babies are now smiling, running around and screaming this morning. Thanks to G who had to suffer and hustle to get the babies safe to their new home. Thanks be to the one and only God who will see us through it all. Well done little ones

the proposal

When i touched the serviettes i felt a box and then it hit me, OH MY GOD!!!! He has just proposed. i couldn't believe it. This was a huge thing and i couldn't believe he was doing this, i opened the box and it was the most beautiful ring i had ever seen. It was pretty and then i got emotional. He had made a commitment, that was so touching, so beautiful and so humbling, i was stunned and i cried because it was such a beautiful thing that had just happened. He said he dint see a future without me. He knew i was the one and had even told his mother about it.

i said yes and i wore the pretty ring. It was lovely and then he drove me to his place where i found other people waiting to surprise me. It was a lovely evening. Mum called and she had known about the surprise, so did senga, my brother and everyone else. It was the most beautiful weekend ever. The weekend when a man proposed to me, a man committed the rest of his life to me. A man promised to be there for me until death do us part. The man did not stop there, he let the whole world know it. He had pulled it off, he had surprised me. He had brought joy into my heart. He had given his whole life on earth to me. and by saying yes i have accepted and given him mine in return.

God the maker of heaven and creator of love, created these moments, for us to enjoy, to express and to live them but not forget that before all these moments is his first love that he gave up for us. I am humbled, i am speechless, totally thankful and obviously in love
